Abstract

Institutions use different methods when making communication process evaluations. Among these methods, public relations models are of great importance. The public relations models that emerged in the 20th century and have been updated until the 21st century and are effective in institutions and organizations show how and in what form the communication with the society should be. In this context, it is possible to say that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey also carries out public relations models through official channels. In this study, the digital media application of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey, the Instagram page, is used in the context of which public relations models and its suitability with the theoretical framework has been examined. In the first half of 2022, it was observed that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey shared information by making a total of 114 posts on its official Instagram page. According to the research findings, it was concluded that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey shared information in terms of public relations models in the context of public information model.
